St. John's Shelter for women and children
Many thanks to the people who prepare and bring food and to those who help serve the dinner at St. John's. This ministry could not be a success without you. THANKS!
We serve approximately 100 people once each month. The recipients express great appreciation for what they receive These are women and children in some transition or crisis in their lives.
WE WILL BE SERVING AGAIN ON THE FIRST THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH.
St. John's is also in need of many other items such as individual bottles of shampoo, conditioner, mini-soaps, etc. If you can help with this very important and much needed ministry please add your name to the sign-up sheet on the Sunday previous to the first Thursday of the month or call the church office at 916.933.1441.
St. Stephens Lutheran Church accepts donations for the El Dorado County Food Bank in Placerville on a continuous basis. Items must be NON-PERISHABLE ONLY. We cannot accept any fresh or dated items. You can find a donation basket in the Narthex of the church. Donated canned goods are delivered to the El Dorado Food Bank in Placerville. Pop-top cans of soup, fruit, vegetables, chili, etc are kept at the church for those coming to the door for food.
